The C series is an edge lit TV vs the P series which is a Full-Array with 72 zones. The Full-Array offers local dimming and better contrast. Better picture quality overall. The only advantage you are getting from the C series is its design and the fact it comes in larger sizes.

Why is full array better? Also, if it is, why do you suppose they charge more for the C807–especially as I like the thinner bottom bezel better??
