  1. I’m looking to buy a 49″ 4K TV for the family room. We’ll be watching sports and tv shows mostly. I’m looking at the TCL 49S517 and LG 49UK6300PUE models. I can both get them for $399 at Walmart. My concern is that we have a wide seating arrangement in the family room and a wide angle viewing aspect of a tv is something that I need to check. I hear that TCL’s picture degrades at a wider angle whereas the LG is pretty good at any angle. Is this true? Is the LG the better choice for me? The ROKU SMART aspect of the TCL isn’t a deal breaker. I have chromecast.

    1. Hi Mike,
LG 49UK6300PUE use IPS display so It’s better when we talk about viewing angle. But TCL 49S517 support Dolby Vision, whereas LG 49UK6300PUE doesn’t support Dolby Vision but support HLG. So it’s your choice.
      Thanks
